Broccoli & Cauliflower supplies are starting to get tight in Yuma
Bananas and plantains are in a demand exceeding supply situation at the moment and will be for some time. Many factors in combination have severely impacted overall banana production including seasonal weather (cold fronts, clouds and cooler temperatures leading to slower growth which are typical from Nov./Dec through March/April), delayed fruit arrivals from the farms and also fog delays at the stateside ports. Limited supplies of fertilizer and chemicals also has contributed to lower production in many banana growing regions.
We will see some banana pro rates off and on for the next few weeks.
