Hardie’s opened its third free on-site health clinic at its Houston warehouse location last week. In partnership with Hamilton Health Box, Hardie's now offers free walk-in healthcare staffed with a nurse and doctor available via enhanced video chat at all warehouse locations.
The Dallas & Austin clinics have already treated hundreds of employees; conducting annual physicals, lab work, DOT physicals and identified many employees that are at high risk for complications due to uncontrolled chronic conditions, and now receive medical care.
“Our on-site health clinic is good for employees and the bottom-line,” said Jennifer Austin,Vice President of Benefits. “Many of our warehouse employees don’t have easy access to doctors, so being able to walk-in without an appointment or insurance is the best care we can give. As a result, we make fewer insurance claims and fewer sick days.”
Hardie’s warehouses operate 24/7, and so does its employee health clinics with a combination of on-site nurse, robust suite of telemedicine, analytics technologies and dedicated care team. No appointment or insurance needed, and offered completely free to all 700 Hardie’s and Texas Harvest employees. The Houston on-site clinic is the largest yet.
