Soaring temperatures and wildfires in California are causing produce shortages.
There are currently supply issues on blueberries in the industry affecting all growing regions. Mexico has suffered extensive rains and cold weather which have delayed harvests on their crop. Peruvian imports are done for the season and Chilean crops are being shipped overseas to Europe as they get more money for their product in those countries rather than shipping to the US. Florida will not start until mid-late March.
The current market is in a demand exceeds supply situation. The supply issues are expected to continue for the next 4 weeks. We expect supply gaps and will do our best to cover all orders.
