Texas Olive Ranch | Carrizo Springs, TX
The charm of Carrizo Springs reminded founder Jim of the Basque region of Southern Spain, where the world famous Arbequina trees flourish. These trees are well known for producing some of the finest olive oil known to man. The dry air, hills, and less crowded lands of Central Texas, combined with Jim's pioneering spirit, led him to planting 50,000 trees there. Texas Olive Ranch now produces 25,000 gallons a year and they are excited to be expanding their business to beautiful Victoria, Texas where they recently planted 50,000 olive trees and are planning on planting 200,000 more.
There’s truly no better pairing with extra virgin olive oil than garlic. Texas Olive Ranch elevated the classic sauté of garlic and olive oil by infusing their cold pressed Arbequina with fresh, Texas grown, garlic. An extraordinarily versatile and savory extra virgin olive oil, this oil easily couples with meats, breads, fishes, salads, vegetables, pastas, and rices for added spiciness, earthiness, and sweetness. Not only is garlic absolutely delicious, it’s also one of the world’s healthiest foods. Win win.
