The charm of Carrizo Springs reminded founder Jim of the Basque region of Southern Spain, where the world famous Arbequina trees flourish. These trees are well known for producing some of the finest olive oil known to man. The dry air, hills, and less crowded lands of Central Texas, combined with Jim's pioneering spirit, led him to planting 50,000 trees there. Texas Olive Ranch now produces 25,000 gallons a year and they are excited to be expanding their business to beautiful Victoria, Texas where they recently planted 50,000 olive trees and are planning on planting 200,000 more.
Texas Olive Ranch classic Arbequina olive oil is the varietal that started it all. It was the first olive tree that they planted on their Texas ranch, and it continues to thrive.
